At Starfish we take great care in crafting our garments to look great and feel great in any environment. The fusion of progressive style with an understated elegance means that Starfish is rarely out of place, no matter what habitats a day or night might find you in. Each Starfish garment is made to be well loved and well worn over many seasons. When designing our ranges we consider the lifespan of the clothes beyond what is fashionable at the time so that they will become lasting favorites in your wardrobe. We also place a high priority on our fabric choices, pursuing natural fibers that will perform well, feel divine next to your skin and have a long life.

All Starfish garments are made in New Zealand to exacting standards. We prize the relationships we have built with our manufacturers, who invest their reputation into every Starfish piece. Before any Starfish garment leaves our care it is given what we call 'the love' - a critical eye, a loving last-adjustment, and a blessing that it finds the right home!

Sustainable business practices

Starfish has always aimed to be a responsible employer and manufacturer, and to take an active part in our community. Winning a New Zealand Sustainable Business award in 2007 was a humbling and inspiring milestone, as it has helped us put better-known terms to what we’d just done by instinct. This award has strengthened our commitment to be an ever-improving example, and to encourage positive steps towards environmental and humanistic mindfulness.
